On September 24th , at the invitation of the China Federation of Radio and Television Associations and the Lianyungang Municipal Party Committee and Government, Dr. Li Ruohong, Chairman of the China World Peace Foundation and President of the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, attended a series of activities in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, including the "Great Journey to China, Silk Road over Mountains and Seas-100 Hours, Directly Witnessing the Mainstream Medias in Lianyungang" and the "First Batch of Coastal Open Cities" Radio and Television Station High Quality Development Symposium.

At the launching ceremony of this activity, Tian Jin, Vice President of the China Federation of Radio and Television Associations, Tian Yuhong, Secretary of the Secretariat of the All China Journalists Association, Ma Shiguang, Secretary of the Lianyungang Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, Yang Liang, the second level inspector of the Media Organization Management Department of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, delivered a speech. Dr. Li Ruohong, Chairman of the China World Peace Foundation and President of the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation , also made a keynote speech with the theme "Peace and public welfare is an effective way to learn from each other in civilization along the Silk Road".

After the launch ceremony. at the Conference on High Quality Development of Coastal City Radio and Television and International Communication Cooperation of Urban Radio and Television, Chairman Li Ruohong shared his experiences,and project achievements in people to people diplomacy, cultural interaction, integrated media, and industrial cooperation with more than 70 TV station directors from various provinces and cities across the country. It is hoped that "one hundred cities and one hundred sets of good communicators" will create brand effects in the construction of the "Belt and Road". Huang Wei, Vice President and Secretary General of the China Guangzhou Federation, and Pan Li, Chairman of the China Guangzhou Federation Transportation Committee, presided over the meeting. Tian Jin, Vice President of the China Guangzhou Federation, made a systematic summary of the national media work. After a discussion with the Secretary General,  Minister of Propaganda, and Director of Radio and Television Station of Lianyungang Municipal Committee, Chairman Li Ruohong visited and inspected museums, ports, and tourist attractions.
